Australia vs Uzbekistan in Sydney, Australia

On Wednesday, 1 April 2009 over 65,000 people attended the World Cup Qualifier between Australia and Uzbekistan. Australia won the game 2-0 after John Kennedy scored the first goal, followed by a penalty conversion by Harry Kewell. The result left Australia one point short of being the first team (apart from South Africa) to qualify for South Africa 2010.
